Wiesbaden is a city in southwestern Germany and the capital of the federal state of Hessen. Wiesbaden is one of the oldest spa towns in Europe. Wiesbaden is situated on the right (northern) bank of the Rhine River. The Schlossplatz ("palace square") is situated in the center of the city, surrounded by several outstanding buildings.
