Thessaloniki, Thessalonica, or Salonica is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of the Greek region of Macedonia. Thessaloniki is Greece's second major economic. The city has a Mediterranean to Mid-European Temperate climate. Air traffic to and from the city is served by Makedonia International Airport. Architecture in Thessaloniki is the direct result of the city's position at the centre of all historical developments in the Balkans.
