Stuttgart is the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. Stuttgart lies about an hour from the Black Forest and a similar distance from the Swabian Jura. The city of Stuttgart is subdivided into a total of 23 city districts, 5 inner districts and 18 outer districts. At the centre of Stuttgart lies a series of gardens which are popular with families and cyclists and the locals refer to as the Green U. Stuttgart is home to five of the eleven state museums in Baden-Württemberg.
