Stansted is a hub for a number of major European low-cost carriers. Stansted Mountfitchet is a village and civil parish in the county of Essex, England - 30 miles north of London. Stansted was a Saxon settlement and pre-dates the Norman invasion of England. During the Second World War, the US Air Force constructed an airfield near the village, now it is unsed as a commercial airport.
