Rome is the capital of Italy and the country's largest and most populated municipality. Rome enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate that is characteristic of the Mediterranean coasts of Italy. Although the economy of Rome is characterized by the absence of heavy industry and it is largely dominated by services, high-technology companies, and the huge development of tourism (with numerous notable museums including the Vatican ) are very dynamic and extremely important to its economy. Rome is served by three airports. Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport, Rome Ciampino Airport and Roma-Urbe Airport.
