Romania is a country located in Southeastern and Central Europe. Tourism focuses on the country's natural landscapes and its rich history and is a significant contributor to the Romania's economy. Over the last years, Romania has emerged as a popular tourist destination for many Europeans. From 2000 onwards, however, the Romanian economy was transformed into one of relative macroeconomic stability, high growth, low unemployment, declining inflation.
