Lanzarote is a Spanish island of the Canary Islands. Lanzarote is of volcanic origin, and home of five hundred different kinds of plants and lichen. Lanzarote was probably the first Canary Island to be settled. The island Lanzarote has its own international airport, Arrecife Airport. Tourism has an important position for the island.
