Katowice (Kattowitz) is a city in Silesia in southern Poland. The climate of the area is continental humid. The city and the area is served by the Katowice International Airport (IATA: KTW, ICAO: EPKT). Katowice is also a large business and trade fair centre. Katowice lies on Katowice Highlands, as part of the Silesian Highlands.
