Karlsruhe is a city in the south west of Germany, in the Bundesland Baden-Württemberg. Germany's largest oil refinery is located in Karlsruhe. Karlsruhe is a renowned research and study centre, with one of Germany's finest institutions of higher education. Karlsruhe is the seat of the German Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht) and the highest Court of Appeals in civil and criminal cases (Bundesgerichtshof).
