Hamburg is the second-largest city in Germany (after Berlin). Hamburg has relatively high employment rate, with 88 percent of the working-age population. The most significant economic unit for Hamburg is the Port of Hamburg. Tourists play a significant role in the city's economy. A typical Hamburg visit includes a tour of the city hall and the grand church St. Michaelis (called the Michel), and visiting the old warehouse district (Speicherstadt) and the harbour promenade (Landungsbrücken).
