Estonia, officially the Republic of Estonia (Estonian: Eesti Vabariik), is a country in Northern Europe. Estonia is a democratic parliamentary republic and is divided into fifteen counties. As a member of the European Union, Estonia's economy is rated as high income by the World Bank. Estonia lies in the northern part of the temperate climate zone and in the transition zone between maritime and continental climate.
