Bristol is a city, unitary authority area and ceremonial county in South West England. Bristol is the largest centre of culture, employment and education in the region. Situated in the south of the country, Bristol is one of the warmest cities in the UK. As a major seaport, Bristol has a long history of trading. The city is served by Bristol International Airport. In the 1960s Filton played a key role in the Anglo-French Concorde supersonic airliner project.
