Ko Samui island of Surat Thani Province, is an island off the east coast of the Kra Isthmus, Thailand. Tourism has become an economic factor of Ko Samui and is now the dominant industry. The Samui Airport (IATA: USM, ICAO: VTSM), (Ko Samui Airport or Koh Samui Airport) , is the local and privately owned airport on the island. Ko Samui is warm and tropical most of the year.
